Fool’s Day: Soul Clap All Night at Smartbar

To what do we owe this pleasure? Our friends from Soul Clap are rolling through Smartbar for the second time in five months, and they’re doing it all night.

Hot on the heels of The Album – their marvelous compendium of funked-up House and housey funk – Soul Clap have continued criss-crossing the world in their usual manner. The Album was described by 5 Magazine’s Terry Matthew as a tour de force and somewhat more satisfying than most dance music long players:

Most albums contain – at best – three or four songs you can listen to out of order and out of context. You might like ’em all at the start but three or four are what remain. There are twice as many on The Album that I can see picking out now, tomorrow, next month or a year from now and still feeling the vicarious thrill so apparent in their creation.

Like last time, Charlie and Eli will be playing all night at Smartbar on April Fool’s Day (April 1 2017). Tickets are available here.
