You can’t write a history of Chicago’s House Music scene in the last two decades without reference to Soul Foundation. All of your heroes’ heroes partied at events planned, promoted and played by the collective of Chicago loft party veterans and Midwest Rave survivors. Of late, the crew’s most visible work has been on tape and on wax via Soul Foundation Recordings, particularly the four track compilation EP (embedded above) that debuted on wax in the Fall.

With Brian G and Brenda D in town from Las Vegas, they’re putting the band back together this Saturday, March 28 at Township (2200-2202 North California) with Renan and Todd Mariana joining in.
