A SummertimeChi tradition expands! From the people who brought you one of Chicago’s best summer parties, 3 Yards Bangin’, comes the inaugural 3YB House Fest, celebrating Southeast Chicago’s contributions to House Music!
The fest features DJ sets by husband and wife duo, Hugo H. and First Lady Khris Hutchinson, Vern Vinyl, CHEEZ, Dave Maze and more, plus a live performance by Curtis McClain, singing his global dance classic, “Move Your Body (The House Music Anthem).” There will also be a special tribute to Southeast side native, DJ, producer and four-time GRAMMY nominee, Steve “Silk” Hurley, plus food vendors, VIP beer garden, Kids Corral & DJ lessons by Master Mix Academy + more!
3YB House Fest is Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 4-10 PM at 2300 East 87th Street (at Anthony Avenue), Chicago (ample parking along Anthony Avenue, all ages are welcome!) Advanced tickets are $10 to $30, available at 3yardsbangin.com.
About The Fest: Launched in 2004 by family and friends who decided to co-host the ultimate backyard party across their three lawns on Chicago’s Southeast Side, 3 Yards Bangin’ has become a highlight of the summer party season in Chicago, featuring house music played by world-class DJs, great food and drinks and friendship. After 11 years, thousands of guests (including at least a few horses and cowboys in the alley), the minds behind the original party have organized 3YB House Fest to celebrate the Southeast Side’s love of house music in a family-friendly community venue.
